« Tour de France | Main | The great helmet debate »
Just about every day my cycle commute takes me past a giant construction site: the future site of Arsenal's new ground, Emirates Stadium. In the last couple of days there's been a sort of unveiling, and finally the stadium area is freely wanderable by even the lowest sort of riffraff (even the Dunce himself). Here's the new stadium in all of its glory (or at least a sizable chunk of its glory):

My juvenile, immature side took over quickly....

(arse-backwards, of course)

But I finally finished arsing around, and made my way into work. I've been riding the touring bike a lot lately so that I'm completely used to it by the time our major trip arrives. Here's what it looks like parked in my workplace's handy under-the-pavement hidey-hole (the fenders are the most recent addition):

On a totally unrelated note (because somehow I do not know your e-mail address), a certain small girl wanted to read her Over the River, a Turkey's Tale book today for naptime. Then she wanted to know when she could go to grandma's and was delighted to know it would be near Thanksgiving and that Auntie Manda and Uncle David would be there. There was a particular gleam in her eye when she added "He can play alligators!" While she was disappointed her ark would not be there, she agreed grandma's circus would fill in nicely and decided "He can hold the circus man." Just a warning, your vacation has already been planned!

Must have taken a bit of a while to get all those shots just so.

Surprisingly I'm very good at getting that kind of shot.

"Hold the circus man" ????
He can BE the circus man!

I'm concerned that a certain Dunce may not perform his assigned task very well. He has been assigned to "HOLD" the circus man. Not to make the circus man do any activities. Further instructions may be needed to clarify his role and his permitted behaviors. Just a warning.
